TFF1905 - Failure to Vacate

Anna walked into her kitchen, the click of her grey heels sharp against the tiles, ready to start her day. But her path was blocked by a baffling sight. Scattered across the floor were several tiny, shrunken men. She paused, leaning down with a look of confused courtesy. "What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice echoing above them. "You haven't been invited? Can you leave, please?" She waited. "Helloo?" But the tiny men just stood there, staring up in mute defiance—or perhaps terror.

Anna’s patience evaporated. "Fine," she sighed, straightening up. "If you won't leave, I'll make you part of the floor." She lifted her foot and brought the grey patent leather heel down hard on the first group. The sharp crack of the impact signaled the end of negotiations. She stepped and twisted, grinding the intruders into the grout with the weight of her annoyance.

But she wanted to be thorough. She sat on a chair and slipped off her heels, discarding them to the side. Now barefoot, she returned to the fray. The cold tiles pressed against her warm soles as she walked over the remaining men, her arches smothering them, her toes curling as she felt them crumple beneath her skin.

Finally, she plucked the last survivor from the carnage and placed him on the white kitchen table. "You really should have listened," she scolded. She turned, smoothed her black dress, and hopped up onto the table. The tiny man had a brief view of the descending darkness before Anna sat fully upon him, her soft, heavy bottom sealing his fate and ending the infestation with a final, crushing silence.
