TFF1901 - The Smallest Things She's Ever Seen

Hannah Shaw walked into her kitchen, the click of her beige heels echoing on the grey tiles, expecting a quiet afternoon. Instead, movement on the floor caught her eye. She froze, her eyes widening in genuine disbelief. "What?!" she exclaimed, dropping to her hands and knees to get a closer look at the anomaly. There, scrambling in the shadow of the chairs, was a group of shrunken men. She loomed over them, her face a mask of amused contempt as she delivered a scathing verdict on their stature: "I have seen some small things in my time... but..."

She didn't finish the sentence; she let her actions speak for her. Standing up, she decided these "small things" were cluttering her floor. She brought her beige, peep-toe heel down hard, crushing the first of the group into the grout lines of the tiles. She twisted her foot, grinding the pest into oblivion.

But the heels were too separating. She sat on the white chair and unbuckled the straps, slipping the shoes off to reveal her bare feet. She returned to the hunt, her soft soles pressing down on the cold tiles, smothering the fleeing men under her arches and toes, feeling every pop and crunch against her skin.

Finally, one straggler remained on the table. Hannah leaned against the surface, plucking the tiny man up by his head. She examined him, a cruel smirk playing on her lips. He was so small, he barely registered as a calorie. "You might be small," she mused, bringing him to her lips, "but you might be tasty." She placed the screaming man onto her tongue, closed her mouth, and with a satisfied gulp, cleared her kitchen of the last of the vermin.
